MPF’s Member Meeting & Evening on the Prairie will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019 at MPF’s Snowball Hill Prairie near Harrisonville, MO in Cass County, 35 miles south of downtown Kansas City. Enjoy this free event (except for optional barbeque dinner) with walking tours of MPF’s beautiful Snowball Hill Prairie; welcome by Harrisonville’s Mayor Judy Bowman; complimentary wine donated by MPF Past President Randy Washburn; silent auction; and optional barbecue dinner. Free tent camping. 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Walking tours of the prairie led by MPF’s Vice President of Science & Management, Bruce Schuette and Director of Prairie Management, Jerod Heubner. 4:00 p.m. Welcome from Harrisonville Mayor Judy Bowman followed by MPF member meeting. Members will vote for director nominees Jan Sassmann, Maddie Johnston, and Brian Edmond (see their bios below). 4:30 p.m. Complimentary wine will be served. Bid on great outdoor gear and other items in our silent auction under a big tent. 6:00 p.m. Barbeque dinner will be served: pulled smoked pork, smoked brisket, potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, dessert.
